Same here Ubuntu 14.04. Acer Aspire One 722 with AMD C-60 APU. screen does not come back after sleep. Backlight comes on but blank screen. Alt+f1 to console works. From there restart lightdm and all is good. PITFA to have to restart after every sleep. Kinda defeats the point of 'sleep' when you loose all your work.
