Realtek has never been good at writing clear module parameter descriptions. My current working version has the following:
MODULE_PARM_DESC(swenc, "Set to 1 for software crypto (default 0)\n"); MODULE_PARM_DESC(ips, "Set to 0 to not use link power save (default 1)\n"); MODULE_PARM_DESC(swlps, "Set to 1 to use SW control power save (default 0)\n"); MODULE_PARM_DESC(fwlps, "Set to 1 to use FW control power save (default 1)\n"); MODULE_PARM_DESC(msi, "Set to 1 to use MSI interrupts mode (default 1)\n"); MODULE_PARM_DESC(debug, "Set debug level (0-5) (default 0)"); In other words, link power save is ON by default, firmware power control is also ON, and software power control is off. My test computer refuses to hibernate or suspend, thus I have not tested "standby", whatever that means. In fact, in the days preceeding the closing of changes for 3.16, I was so busy trying to provide help for the Lenovo T440s users, and getting the code into the kernel that I barely had time for testing. I am afraid that someone else will need to test and debug these problems. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1239578 Title: No wireless support for Realtek RTL8192EE [10ec:818b] To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hwe-next/+bug/1239578/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
