Public bug reported: Since first installing Gutsy I've been having sound troubles such as bug #122417. Now volume level is good but the hardware volume switch doesn't work at all.
I can see the graphic light grey speaker icon, the orange bar moves as I press the volume buttons, but they have no effect. (Neither does the volume control in the panel, is that gnome-volume-manager?)
