Thanks for the bug report!

Providing that Wallch just notifies GNOME for the change (and it doesn't
update the picture of the background itself), can you please run the
following command in a terminal and report back if the crash happens?

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.background picture-uri
'file:///home/username/Pictures/somefile.jpg'

Please change /home/username/Pictures/somefile.jpg to a real path of an
image in your filesystem.

I just want to see if it really is a Wallch back or a GNOME bug.
