Public bug reported: I am running 12.04 LTS fully updated. Added new HDD and partitioned it ready for 14.04. Went to software centre and started downloaing phase of install of the signed kernel 14.04 I found there. Then cancelled it when I found I could upgrade from the 'syatem up to date' link on the system pulldown at top-right of screen. Then got thie failed to install error.
