I'm affected by this. System settings > Time & Date > Clock options are available and seem to function normally. I've tried the following solutions; none have restored my clock to the unity panel.
1) sudo apt-get install --reinstall indicator-datetime; sudo dpkg-reconfigure -f noninteractive tzdata; killall unity-panel-service; 2) sudo restart lightdm; 3) initctl restart indicator-datetime; killall unity-panel-service; 4) sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade; sudo apt-get install --reinstall gnome-control-center; killall unity-panel-service; sudo restart lightdm; 5) restarting the machine after (1-4) System Details --------------------------------------------------------------------- Distro: Ubuntu 14.04 trusty Desktop Environment: Unity Platform: x86_64 Kernel: 3.13.0-29-generic Proprietary Drivers: Video Driver for AMD graphics accelerators from fglrx-updates (proprietary) GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6770 Motherboard: ASUSTeK Computer INC.
