Seth, thanks for your efforts, I'm affected as well. I just tried kernel 3.16 (your post #40) and got no disconnects (though not testing for a long time now) but the connection was very slow, some Kb/s (maybe related to #1354975). Unfortunately I can't use your build as I'm on i386. I'll keep observing.
