Public bug reported:

What you expected to happen:
I expected a sucessfull filesystem check of the fat32-partition.

What happened instead:
This:

$ sudo gparted
======================
libparted : 2.3
======================

*** Error in `/usr/sbin/gpartedbin': malloc(): memory corruption:
0x0000000001129ea0 ***
Aborted (core dumped)

--
I started the application, chose the partition I wanted to check for errors and
then started the check - and this happens, every time.
