Hi Bryan, I've re-tested again using the existing 12.04 setup (after a full update a few days ago and LO upgraded to 4.3.0.4 using PPA). The bug is now disappeared. Sorry that I can't upgrade to 14.04 without careful planning because it is my daily business PC. Thanks for help.
