Public bug reported:

To reproduce boot a live session amd64 version of lubuntu mount a
filesystem in pcmanfm on the left side bar by clicking on it in the
places menu. It will mount then go to this filesystem and try to create
a new file or write data to it. I get the error Error opening file
'/media/lubuntu/61d4ba96-45cf-4b52-b7df-17bcff423c6b/canhazwrite':
Permission denied when trying to create a new file canhazwrite on this
small sd card on my system.

I expected to be able to write to filesystems on the live session like
ubuntu and other systems like I normally can. Instead I get permission
