Errors occurred during installation of upstream kernel as per attached file "Kernel R17 Terminal Output.txt". These were substantially the same as during the 14.04.1 upgrade (oem-ethernet, oem-wireless plus 1 or 2 others) and also the same as the upgrade to my mythtv pc. Similar issues afterwards - loss of keyboard (wireless on mythtv) on both 14.04.1 and loss of network on all upgrades. All autocorrected after a couple of reboots. Only outstanding issue on HP laptop is the touchpad and boot time message "systemd-udevd failed to execute /lib/udev/keymap". Exact details on request if relevant to this bug.
At this point (R17 Kernel), touchpad still not working. Please advise if further work required on this, otherwise it can be marked as confirmed and tag 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream' added ** Attachment added: "Kernel R17 Terminal Output.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1362584/+attachment/4190804/+files/Kernel%20R17%20Terminal%20Output.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1362584 Title: Synaptics Touchpad on HP 255 G1 Not Working after upgrade from 12.04.1 LTS to 14.04.1 LTS To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1362584/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
