I've been using v3.17-rc1-utopic for a few weeks now. It didn't crash for more than a week, then I had two system freezes on the same day. Hasn't crashed again in more than a week. I do get some 'sleep effects' --initially going into suspend right after I tried to wake it, more recently spontaneously going into suspend and waking immediately after I suspend it. Overall, seems like pretty much the same set of problems. I created a script to save the dmesg output right before a suspend because it's on suspend or wake that the system freezes and the dmesg right before a freeze usually contains a bug trace. Just have to wait for it to crash again.
