** Description changed: I experienced this with mako and manta. After updating to #229 I tried to configure a pin/passphrase to enable developer mode, but setting the pin failed, and entering a password fails too. Open System Settings -> About this phone -> Developer mode -> Lock security -> 4 digit PIN code The screen shows two fields to enter and confirm the pin code - Enter a pin in both fields e.g. 1234 - Press Set + Enter a pin in both fields e.g. 1234 + Press Set System Settings complains with a red failure message. Then go Back and to Passphrase The screen shows three fields (previous, new, confirmation) Leaving the first field empty or put an arbitrary string there and enter a new password to the other fields Press Set - System Settings complains again with a failure. + System Settings complains again with a failure. Go Back Note that System Settings indicates that the phone is locked by passphrase. + Going back and selecting Swipe (no security) again and then setting a + PIN code or phassphrase resolved the problem, now in both cases no + existing PIN or password is required. - Going back and selecting Swipe (no security) again and then setting a PIN code or phassphrase resolved the problem, now in both cases no existing PIN or password is required. - - There might be an issue with the Lock configuration due to the update? + There might be an issue with the Lock configuration due to the + incremental update vs. a freshly bootstrapped device?
