Sounds like a problem in the QtNetwork bearer plugin you're using. I'd guess that would be networkmanager (qtbase/src/plugins/bearer/networkmanager/), but I'm not sure if that's correct.
P.S. (re comment #6): Bearer plugins, while platform specific, are not related to QPA.
