Hello, I can confirm that this is still a problem (two years later). It's more of a minor annoyance than anything. I've added Should-Start: xcp-xapi but cannot confirm that it resolves the problem outright until I am able to have downtime.
The segfaults still occur whenever OpenVPN starts before xcp-xapi. I would hope that the Should-Start fix isn't the answer to fixing a segfault -- the cause is still there. I would imagine it has to do with the existence of tap/tun interface. Let me know how I can help solve this!
