I have attached dump files. I note: "BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL
pointer dereference at 00000018" - may be a clue? I have also posted
upstream as suggested but that thread seems to have found a work-around
so may be less interested. This seems to be an issue with how Ubuntu
packages this module and should be fixed out-of-the-box rather than
requiring (geeky) workarounds. (I can do that but we Ubuntu is supposed
to be for Human Beings - not just geeks!)
