Arvin, I started noticing the glib problem when I tried to run the license program as part of installing Xilinx ISE 14, so I upgraded my Ubuntu from 12.4 to 14.4, thinking that would fix the problem, but it didn't and screwed-up Unity. I might need to install Ubuntu 14.4 from scratch when I have the time.
