The original bug reporter used a PPA package while filing this bug, which is why it's invalid. Either way, this isn't a bug with 0ad itself, if dpkg errors out with "unexpected end of file or stream", that's telling you that the package you downloaded was corrupt. Again, as mentioned previously, "sudo apt-get clean" followed by "sudo apt-get install 0ad-data" should do the trick. Also make sure that you have enough disk space.
