Public bug reported:

vlc 2.1.4-0ubuntu14.04.1, Ubuntu 14.04

1. Download the attached video.
2. Choose "Media" > "Convert/Save..."
3. Choose "Add..." and select the downloaded video, then "Convert/Save".
4. In the "Convert" dialog, choose "Edit Selected Profile" (the tools icon).
5. In the "Profile edition" [sic] dialog, choose "Video codec" > "Filters" >
"Rotate video filter", then "Save".
6. Back in the "Convert" dialog, choose a destination filename, then "Start".
7. When the conversion finishes, open the resulting video.

What you should see: The video is rotated.

What you actually see: The video is rotated, but with (very nearly) its
original width and height. So it is cropped in one direction, and
letterboxed in the other direction.

** Affects: vlc (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

** Attachment added: "input video"
