The "funny" thing is that this bug depends on your locale.

I just did a mount on an non-ASCII mountpoint and can reproduce the bug with
LANG=C aa-status

However, everything works fine if I use
LANG=de_DE aa-status

That's python charset "fun" at its best...

hmmm...
I'm not sure if "Workaround: learn german" is a good answer ;-)
