I would be happy to help debug this bug: Can someone tell me how and where I can get and build the scanner software (in a development folder on my computer - a folder other than the regular system location) so I can run it and step through it on both my Ubuntu (where the scanner is not working) and Debian (where the scanner is working) machines, to compare the output?
