Public bug reported:

I have the problem that after every Cups update (I think) my printer is
cutting the top of the printout because it is using Letter instead of
A4.

The problem lies within that the printer settings (GUI) paper type is not used,
instead the driver settings file in
/usr/local/Brother/inf/brDCP7030rc is used.

If I set the paper type in the file to A4 all is good, however every now
and then it is set back to letter, I think after a cups update, but
might be a different package.

I'm on Kubuntu Trusty.

Proposed solution: Printer dialog should take precedence over hidden
config file.

Here's a blog post on it that has about 20 page impressions a month:

brother.html
