As Jeroen said, we need to understand this in order to suggest a
solution that fits CTS' needs.  My guess is that they where deriving the
hostname from the IP address "manually", having observed the pattern
that MAAS uses.

Agreed that the path of least resistance at this stage is to improve the
new "reserve IP"API to include a hostname and use that in Juju.
