Public bug reported:

[Testbed]
Hardware:
A Haswell platform laptop with an Amd Radeon R7 M265 graphics card. Connect an
external monitor via HDMI port.
Software:
Ubuntu 14.04
xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.99.910-0ubuntu1.1

[Reproducer]
1. Press FN + hot key to change the display mode.
2. Watching the built-in monitor.

[Expect result]
there should be 4 modes:
Internal only -> extended mode -> mirror mode -> external only

[Actual result]
mirror-mode  ->  extended mode  ->  *black mode*[1]  twice ->  mirror mode  ->
internal only  ->  external only

[1]: black mode means, the screen is black, backlight works well.
Nothing displayed. Only cursor showed. It moves if I touch my mouse.

[How reproducible]
100% with my laptop.

[old version?]
after downgrade to xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.99.910-0ubuntu1, the issue can
not be reproduced. So I suppose it's a regression issue.

** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
