I'm experiencing this bug on my Acer Aspire 5253-BZ480 and I'm not dual booting at all just running a clean install of Ubuntu 14.04 but have had the problem since I installed it back in April. It plays sound through the speakers for just over a minute then shuts off. No solutions I've tried work.
