Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pidgin
If you add a new buddy on xmpp/jabber networks and authorize the other's request of adding you, you will get a duplication of this buddy in your list. Deleting one of them causes duplication at the other side after rerequest authorization. Easiest way to solve this, is to edit blist.xml manually. This is a very annoying bug for everybody who uses xmpp/jabber with pidgin... There are at least two bug reports at pidgin.im who have milestone 2.2.0 but are not yet fixed: http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/479 http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/1089 ** Affects: gaim Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Affects: pidgin (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Bug watch added: Pidgin bug tracker #479 http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/479 ** Also affects: gaim via http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/479 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Changed in: gaim Bugwatch: Pidgin bug tracker #479 => Pidgin bug tracker #1089 -- Pidgin duplicates contacts in jabber/xmpp https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/138190 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
