Public bug reported: Current version of package plantuml on Ubuntu 14.04 is 7707.
Latest version of plantuml available on http://plantuml.sourceforge.net/ is 8009. Current version of package plantuml on Ubuntu crashes on very simple diagrams, if made following updated documentation on sourceforge website. Since there is no documentation package for this tool, the online documentation is the only resource that users of this tool use.
