The bug about the alarm ringing even when it is disabled is a known issue which occurred due to upstream change in the Ubuntu SDK which wasn't synced yet to indicator-datetime. As a result, indicator-datetime wasn't aware that the alarm was disabled. I have informed charles about this issue and he has a branch https://code.launchpad.net/~charlesk /indicator-datetime/lp-1317861-handle-trigger-valarms-in-ical which fixes this and also a couple of other alarm related issues.
I was caught by surprise when I read the alarm ringing after it was deleted. I will modify this bug report to say it rang after being disabled by the user instead. ** Summary changed: - [clock] alarm still rings once it's been deleted + [clock] alarm still rings once it's been disabled ** Changed in: ubuntu-clock-app Status: Incomplete => Confirmed ** Changed in: indicator-datetime (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed ** Changed in: ubuntu-clock-app Milestone: None => rtm ** Changed in: ubuntu-clock-app Importance: Undecided => Critical -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1387231 Title: [clock] alarm still rings once it's been disabled or deleted To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-clock-app/+bug/1387231/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
