Comment on attachment 8507858 87987.png Ignoring the fact that the patch doesn't function properly for me, I'm still not convinced this is the right approach.
I like that we're enabling custom editing, and am not against the purpose of the bug, but I think this idea is putting too much emphasis on it. Most people will want to choose between the options they added (the drop down list), and do not want to type things in manually. However, this patch (I'm guessing, since I don't know what the actual interaction is) does not make that drop down obvious. I think what we should do is reverse this, and show the drop down if they click anywhere other than an edit button.
