Try \usepackage{lscape}, and then \begin{landscape}...\end{landscape} I have lscape on my system (standard install). It could be that landscape.sty has been replaced by lscape.sty
In general, when you update TeX and you think you have lost something, it's very likely that a different package supplies the functionality you're looking for.
