Thanks! Your joystick doesn't appear in the list of USB peripherals, so it looks like something is going wrong before jstest-gtk can even get a chance to use the joystick. Could you try disconnecting your joystick, reconnecting it, and then running
dmesg | tail -n 20 in a terminal, and pasting the output?
