Tried using the ralink card again today, Sept. 8, and I haven't gotten a freeze up yet. I did try to suspend, and got this message over and over again in the terminal, every ten seconds or so:
Message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] at Sat Sep 8 13:34:22 2007 ... gg kernel: [ 264.989805] unregister_netdevice: waiting for wlan0 to become free. Usage count = 1 I couldn't suspend or shut down or log off, so I had to force a hard reboot. I tried disabling networking and wireless in Network Manager, but that didn't seem to change anything, including the displayed bar graph icon. -- random unfixable freezes in gutsy herd 5 (kernel panic?) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/135441 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
