A few comments:

You do not want to use linux-image-generic-lts-quantal any longer; it
isn't supported. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/1204_HWE_EOL for details.

Your hardware looks broken:

Perhaps it is just two usb devices that need to move, perhaps this is a
larger problem.

Also, your 'rm' command is segfaulting a lot; I suggest checking debsums
to see if the on-file 'rm' binary is corrupted.
