Ian, I did an upgrade. If you know any packages I can swap round to make
my install more like a fresh one that would be cool.

I haven't had the cursor disappearing problem since removing xfce4
-power-manager and upower, and for some reason my laptop still suspends
when the lid is closed. So I'm happy enough with how it's running for
now. I was also experiencing another intermittent bug in Network Manager
staying asleep after resume, and that seems to have cleared up too.

The bug should be unmarked for Light-locker and added against xfce4
-power-manager possibly.
