Public bug reported: In incrontab the event symbol IN_MODIFY does not trigger an action just once on file modification. So with the following root incrontab file:
# incrontab -l /tmp/Y/y IN_MODIFY /usr/bin/zenity --title="A-OK" --info --text="MODIFY file" --display=:0.0 If the file is modified with "touch" then nothing happens. Changing the access and modification times of the file should trigger under IN_MODIFY If the file is modified with a redirect ( eg. date > /tmp/Y/y ) then "zenity" is called twice instead of once. The file was modified only once, so incron should trigger only once.
