Hello,

this is not a bug in mediathekview but the way distributions work.
Version 6 was available for the first time when Ubuntu 14.04 development
was frozen. New upstream releases could not be considered anymore.
However you can still ask for Backports, if you want a newer version in
Trusty.

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuBackports

Another option is to add a newer Ubuntu release to your sources.list
file. If you want to go this way, it is recommended to read more about
"Pinning" and "/etc/apt/sources.list" before you continue.
