i.e. this page https://nsupdate.info/about/ is using the font UnBatang
for the icons (i.e. a house icon for home link) in the title bar. they
appear as some kind of arabic letters to me that I can't read instead of
looking like icons (like it does when using Chrome from the same PC)

Inspecting the element in Firefox, it shows:

font-family: font-awesome.min.css:4 .fa FontAwesome;
: bootstrap.min.css:5 body "Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;
: bootstrap.min.css:5 html sans-serif;
font-size: 14px;


Inspecting the element in Chrome it shows:

font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;
body - "Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif
html - sans-serif
font-size: 14px;
