Which is presumably why "Bob" wrote his site. I am trying to help you to help me but you are not making it easy by assuming that I am intimate with kernel issues, or even that I am familiar with exactly which bits of software are already installed. I have tried to be as clean as possible by installing a complete fresh system from the 14.10 DVD, but I haven't the foggiest notion what "bcmwl" is or does or why there would be one on my system! I assume that if the 14.10 DVD installed it there is a damn good reason why it is there.
