The problem may be related to a vanilla install of TeXLive from TeXLive
website (not Ubuntu packages) that was on my HDD before the upgrade. I
usually use TeXLive that I install from the TeXLive web site. However,
some of the packages in Ubuntu require TeXLive install from Ubuntu
repository. The real solution for people like me who use non-Ubuntu
TeXLive would be to have an empty deb package that would make other
Ubuntu packages think that TeXLive is installed.
