Hi Tong Sun, I have now found at why my laptop wasn't resuming when booted to Ubuntu 14.10. It turns out that for some reason my kernel wasn't being updated since I did a beta install. It was only when I was about to file a bug report that I found out that my kernel had not been updated since 3.16.0-09. I hadn't noticed this as I had been getting updates for other packages. Anyway, I did a fresh install and that has solved my problem.
