As usual there has been 'progress' on my side. I lost my primary SSD and had to reinstall. The problem went away with that. I'm still convinced that the problem is with unity getting stuck, not the graphics driver.
Just try something: Create a subdirectory in your home directory and move everything (including all hidden files/directories) into it. Then log back in and it will work again. You can then move stuff back in place, only do it for know files/directories. You'll loose some gnome/uniti customization, but that's all. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1285444 Title: Login Successful, Desktop Never Loads To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1285444/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
