Quick note to others watching this: the update on the debian side is just due to the ITP being auto-closed after one year. As the pkg-fedora-ds repository is also still empty, i guess the current plan is to wait for upstream to roll a release of the now autotooled trunk. (If anybody has any preliminary packaging i'd be happy to test.)
