Here we go again! Whislt playing a video through Videos with the sound playing over the speakers, I turned on a pair of Bluetooth hadphones. Sure enough, the headphones' menu item appeared in the Systems Settings > Souund pane. I needed to hightlight the item to get the sound through the headphones. I then turned off the headphones. The headphones' menu item disappeared and the Speakers item was highlighted. However, there was no sound through the speakers. Even clicking on the menu item failed to produce any sound.
Plugging a pair of wired headphones caused their menu item to appear but no sound at all, even after clicking the menu item. I can only assume that the sound system had crashed! I did a restart and got the sound working again. Unfortunately, the system is still unstable. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1402666 Title: [XPS13 9333, Intel Haswell HDMI, Digital Out, HDMI] Playback problem To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1402666/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
