I have a problem printing on a ubuntu print server (HP 3050 j610
connected via a xDSL Box)

Bug #1404129 reported by Baptiste Burgaud on 2014-12-19

Printer (HP 3050 j610) is deteceted and correctly installed on my bbox (french
xDSL box), but print jobs are refused.... I got message "Print job was not
accepted." when I watch the printer properties. For info, when connecting same
printer to USB port everything works fine.
Any help would be appriciated :)

Baptiste.

What is the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a; apt-cache policy hplip

Thanks.

Also, can you ping the IP of the printer / connect to it's web configuration
page via HTTP (use a web browser)

If you run:

ping -c 4 bbox

Do you get replies?
