What the heck is Mark Shuttleworth thinking? This is inconsistent design, an exception to how every other launcher behaves, and the "trade off" is ridiculous -- NO USABILITY is gained by this inconsistency -- I never once thought -- "oh well at least I'm back at my Home folder." He needs to stop trying to impose usability and realize it a science he must abide by if he wants to be a good usability designer, starting with users' habits set down since Windows 95, and our need for functional consistency in any interface that conforms to human reason and democracy, not the whims of a "innovation". I vote that this be changed because it is an embarassing bug we'd never expect from Microsoft or Apple.
