Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

In Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon, worked fine until a new update, then an awfull
black band appears when the screen to put the name and password is in. I can
put by memory without seen where, name and passwd, but when entering the 1/3 of
the screen black strip, appears again.
I did a couple of updates, but the problem is still here, fucking the easy
operation of the programs.
I worked around Bug #134284 in xorg, but nothing happends.
