@Martin It is a separate issue. For your model there is no even 'acpi_osi=' quirk in this build. So it is a normal Ubuntu 3.16 kernel. Which version did you install? 3.16.0-28.38 or 3.16.0-29.39? The first one is in stable, the latter is in proposed. If you installed the latter, then remove it and install the first one. If the problem is still there, then a separate bug report shall be done.
