Descripción: Herramientas de generación de initramfs
Este paquete contiene las herramientas para crear y arrancar un initramfs para
el núcleo Linux 2.6. Initramfs es un archivo cpio comprimido en gzip. En el
arranque, el núcleo lo descomprime en la RAM, lo monta y lo usa como el sistema
de archivo raíz inicial. El montado del sistema de archivo raíz real ocurre en
espacio de usuario. klibc proporciona las utilidades para configurar el raíz.
Se puede tener el raíz con EVMS, MD, LVM2, LUKS o NFS. Cualquier cargador de
arranque compatible con initrd puede cargar un archivo initramfs.
