reverted.

Can you first test the latest mainline kernel, just to see if this bug
is fixed already?  If it is not, I can send the revert request.  The
latest kernel can be downloaded from:

http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.19-rc3-vivid/

There is no linux-image-extra .deb for that kernel, so you would just need to 
install:
linux-image-3.19.0-031900rc3-generic_3.19.0-031900rc3.201501060135_amd64.deb
