Public bug reported: I have found that it is very unhelpful when I run Apport with this code in Terminal:
ubuntu-bug And when I get this menu: http://i.stack.imgur.com/ib1Dr.png And select the option "Other problem" I get a very unclear error message: http://i.stack.imgur.com/VnDYN.png Why have an option to report other problems if it just tells you that you have not specified a package? I would have thought that selecting the "Other problems" option would be equivalent to selecting the "I don't know" option on LaunchPad when selecting a package. My System information is: Description: Ubuntu 14.10 Release: 14.10 Apport version: apport: Installed: 2.14.7-0ubuntu8 Candidate: 2.14.7-0ubuntu8 Version table: *** 2.14.7-0ubuntu8 0 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ utopic/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: apport (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1408700 Title: Unhelpful no package specified message for other problems...
